Nominations can be made throughout October via the MIA List webpage. Nominees can be people from all facets of the meetings industry, such as planners, chefs, receptionists, housekeepers and sales staff.
This is the second year that the list has been compiled, with last year's 25 honoraries including Conference Torquay manager Nicky Harding and The Barbican business development manager Samme Allen.
"The MIA List is an opportunity to recognise those people within the meetings industry whose approach to their profession is outstanding," said Jane Longhurst, MIA chief executive.
The 2012 List will be revealed at a special event at BMA House, London, on 19 March.
