The event, which will take place 7-10 April in 2013 at the Barbican, London is expected to attract 2,500 delegates. The agency said it won the contract against "tough competition".

Simon Maier, TFI’s director of business development, added: "Bringing together so many different societies into one festival is a terrific way to help boost the awareness of neuroscience and to engage professionals and the public alike. The opportunity is one that we absolutely relish."

BNA 2013 will involve the partnership of the BNA with 15 other neurology-focused societies and will incorporate 50 symposia, ten plenary and public lectures and a trade exhibition.
