Mercedes-Benz will transport 120 staff to the Gunwharf Keys, Portsmouth venue in September for the sixth year running to take part in a Clipper sailing training event. After a staff breakfast, a team tacking activity will occur, followed by tea, a medal ceremony and then a dinner in the evening. Mobile Promotions will organise the event, which is attended by Mercedes' key dealers.

"The event gives Mercedes the chance to deliver its key messages to staff while engaging in challenging, fun activities on board a Clipper vessel," said Clipper Events commercial director Nigel Beacham.

Meanwhile, property development company Berkeley Group has confirmed an event with Clipper in September for 120 staff and suppliers, the fourth year it has done so.

The company, which organised the event internally, will hold a dinner after the event at Portsmouth's Brasserie Blanc restaurant.

The Clipper Race experience is a team-building programme overseen by a professional racing yacht crew, where staff can help with sailing vessels of up to 70 feet.
