News of the win comes as the Yorkshire-based agency announces a boost in profit and a hike in its headcount.
Managing director Richard Murphy told C&IT that turnover for the year ending 31 July 2012 will be £5.9m, compared with £4.7m for the previous 12 months.
He said that on the basis of signed-off contracts, turnover for the year ending July 2013 will be £6.9m.
Gross profit is forecast at £800,000 for 2012 and £900,000 for 2013.
Murphy said that business from existing clients, including Land Rover and Interfloor, has contributed to its performance. The turnover boost is also the result of a number of undisclosed client wins.
First Event won the Amazon business after a referral. It has been contracted to run a series of five or six meetings and conferences for all staff in the next six weeks.
The agency, which is rebranding at the end of this month with a new logo and website, is moving into new-build offices in Yeadon, West Yorkshire, having outgrown its existing premises in Ilkley. The new offices include a conference and meetings room.
The three new recruits are Emily Stephenson, Sharon Sloan and Amy Watson, who join the agency as account executives. Stephenson joins from hospitality firm Papa Kata, Sloan from Invigorate and Watson is a graduate.
