Olympics sponsors including Deloitte and Samsung brief Sportsworld

Sportsworld will organise 50 events for corporate clients during London's 2012 Olympics Games, for sponsors including Deloitte, Samsung and Adecco.

The agency will focus on offering specialist sponsor hospitality services this year, according to chief executive Chad Lion-Cachet.

He said: "The UK hospitality market will increase by 8% and we're definitely seeing that as a result of the Games. Our growth as a business will be in line with that 8% growth."

The agency said its DMC service will make up around 30% of its business in 2012, compared to 10% in 2011.
"DMC services are becoming an increasingly large part of the business. It's coming into its own this year and will continue next year," Lion-Cachet added.

The agency, which currently employs around 200 staff, will make around 200 new freelance and permanent appointments in 2012, he said.
