The event will bring 600 UK and overseas delegates to the city and inject an estimated £1m into the local economy. The conference will take place at Aintree Racecourse between 9 and 12 September next year.
Delegates will attend sessions in the venue's exhibition spaces and 30 breakout rooms. Pre-conference workshops will be held at the University of Liverpool Management School, while the Anglican Cathedral will host the conference's dinner.
The event was secured by Liverpool Convention Bureau in partnership with Liverpool ambassador Ossie Jones.
Carol O'Reilly, Liverpool Convention Bureau manager, said: "The collaboration between the Convention Bureau and our ambassadors has once again proven successful in bringing business to the city.
"We pride ourselves on being recognised as a leading conference destination and our wealth of academic knowledge and venues makes this event well suited to be hosted in Liverpool."
