IOEX, the International Outdoor Event Expo taking place at Excel, London from 6-8 March, is giving agencies and organisers the chance to 'shape their perfect event space' with the Earl of Shaftesbury during a seminar and networking session on 7 March.

The Earl is currently in the process of transforming Shaftesbury Estates and is welcoming input from agencies to create a venue that suits the needs of the industry, from logistics to interior finishing.

He said: "I have the opportunity to be able to listen to agencies and eliminate those problems that are faced on a daily basis when working with venues. Whether it be load in times, access routes or too many regulations once inside to appropriately brand an environment, I want to know so that together we can make this a great place to work and host events."

David Hornby, managing director of Why Not Consulting will chair the session, which also hears from Hugh Phillimore, the festival director for Cornbury Festival, to give the insight from the promoter’s perspective.

The session is taking place from 10.30am – 11.15am on 7 March at Excel.
