Sofitel opens So boutique property in Bangkok

Sofitel Luxury Hotels has opened the Sofitel So Bangkok, its second property under the designer boutique brand.

Situated close to the business district and the Lumpini Park, Sofitel So Bangkok offers 238 rooms and suites. Décor was inspired five elements – water, earth, fire, wood and metal – with designs led by Christian Lacroix.

Facilities include a fitness centre and Sp Spa, Chocolab, a chocolate deli and boutique serving delicious handmade French chocolates and the rooftop Park Society Restaurant & Bar with a stunning view of the city of Bangkok.

There are also several meetings spaces, including a ballroom, which can accommodate 280 theatre-style or 250 for a banquet.

Sofitel Worldwide CEO Robert Gaymer-Jonessaid: "The opening of this second address confirms our intention to continue to develop Sofitel So, our Sofitel So label will continue to expand. Two new Sofitel So are under construction in Mumbaï, India and in Singapore."
