C&IT Big Debate: How do you avoid cliched teambuilding?

The Vodafone campaign shows bored staff taking part in mundane, clichéd activities. The related Yougov survey also shows that there is a level of dissatisfaction with teambuilding from staff.

However, as anyone in the events industry can tell you, teambuilding when done right can be extremely effective and demonstrate ROI.

Our poll on the right hand side of the homepage also gives you a chance to vote on the matter.

So:

  • How do you make sure your teambuilding activities achieves ROI?
  • Name examples of fresh, well-received activities?
  • Which 'classic' teambuilding activities work well?
  • How do you get under the skin of a company to assess what will suit its staff?
  • Which activities are clichéd and unproductive?
