More than 100 delegates have signed up to attend IP World 2012 in Durham's Ramside Hall on 1 March, giving them the opportunity to network, attend seminars and talk to representatives of tech firms including Microsoft, Cisco, Mitel, Milestone Systems and Axis.

IP World 2012 is sponsored by IT infrastructure firm Advantex. Stephen O'Connell, Advantex's director of sales and marketing, said: "The region needs this event to showcase the available technology to business leaders and decision makers.

"IP World explains how new technologies can be adopted to improve business performance and offer cost savings. Local businesses which attend will be able to better understand what’s available as well as get an insight into the benefits of emerging technologies."
