Guest speakers at the event included social media strategist Tiffany St James who talked about creating lasting digital footprints for events using social media. Andrew Lyons, from digital agency Ultra Knowledge, talked about the technology behind his interactive Twitter wall, and Lumacoustics provided two of interactive digital badging tables.

Meanwhile, the windows of the venue became a huge graffiti wall and were filled with doodles of all of the Olympic venues by art students from the Colchester Institute.

Tweetup organiser Peter Kerwood said: "I’m delighted with the response from guests at last nights event.  Three years ago when we hosted the first event industry Tweetup at Sealife London Aquarium everyone thought we were a bit mad. It is great to see how far the industry has come."
