Hilton to boost Turkey expansion with four new openings

Hilton Worldwide has announced plans to open four new hotels in Turkey, taking the number of hotels, either operating or under development in the country to 33.

The new developments include DoubleTree by Hilton Kudasi expected to open in the centre of the historic resort town of Kudasi in 2013 with 88 rooms, and the 157-room DoubleTree by Hilton Malatya, expected to open at the end of this year.

Two Hampton by Hilton properties are also planned. The Hampton by Hilton Istanbul Atakov is expected to open in early 2014 offering 89 bedrooms and two meeting rooms, while the 144-room Hampton by Hilton Samsun on the Black Sea Cosastal Highway is scheduled to open in early 2013.

The hotel group opened eight properties in Turkey last year, and expects to open another 10 in the next 12 months. The Conrad Istanbul is also undergoing a substantial refurbishment this year.
