The company also reported a 20% sales hike for the year ending 30 June 2011.
The agency said its improved performance was the result of a combination of account wins and additional business from existing clients.
Sophie Morris, Worldspan’s managing director, said: "Our team once again demonstrated their true expertise in flawlessly delivering a diverse range of client projects."
The period also saw Worldspan boost its event management team. Catherine Holyoak joined as account executive for venue finding; Adam Gabbetis joined as account executive on pharmaceutical events; Louise Baxendell was made project coordinator of PCO services; and Lawri Farrell was made account executive of events.
Morris added: "We have had an incredibly strong start to our financial year with a solid pipeline of projects and, as we approach the milestone of our fortieth anniversary in 2012, we remain very optimistic for our prospects next year and beyond."
