The hotel will be situated in the heart of Old Belgrade, near the Republic Square, National Museum and National Theatre and 17km from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport.

"We continue to see strong development opportunities throughout Southeastern Europe and are excited to see our expansion continue in to Serbia," said Amy McPherson, president and managing director of Marriott International in Europe. "With increasing business travel in to Belgrade, we are confident the Courtyard by Marriott brand, and in particular our newly announced European prototype for Courtyard, will serve the market well."

Guestrooms will feature clean lines, natural light, and Mediterranean colours. Meeting capacity is to be confirmed, but a bistro restaurant will feature.
