De Bois, who is the chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Events, and Hirst, who is coordinating the Britain for Events campaign, will host a dinner on the 2 February in the boardroom of De Vere Venues’ Holborn Bars property.

It will be attended by representatives of the events industry, including buyers, organisers and venues.

Hirst said: "Britain for Events gives us the perfect opportunity to provide a coherent voice to local and national government.

"In Nick we’re fortunate to have an MP that both understands the industry and is willing to listen to senior personalities about the key measures the government could take to ensure the industry’s growth."

De Bois added: "The aim of the dinner is to listen to key representatives across the UK events industry so the All Party Parliamentary Group for Events can look at ways to develop and support this important industry."
