Thomas Cook, the offical short break provider for the 2012 Games, said that the main focus of its corporate package sales is organising more bespoke deals as it's stock packages have been in great demand, with seven Games sponsors already putting in orders.

"We have sold out all of our opening ceremony tickets and have had great success in markets like North America, the Far East and France. What has been interesting is the demand demographics in different regions. Trying to get a handball ticket in Sweden, for example is very hard, when in India, hockey is in big demand," he said.

Thomas Cook supplies ticket package deals from £99 to £6,999 to consumers and businesses with hotels, sporting tickets and a London travel pass included as a minimum.

The Olympic package offering for corporates guarantees a four or five star hotel, a Thomas Cook host and tickets to a series of Olympic events.

"We are expecting another boost in sales in early 2012, as past Olympic experience tells us that a switch tends to flick in people's minds in the year of the event," he added.
