Rakesh N Joomuck, Air Mauritius's business development executive, said that the destination expects that 2012 will bring a 38% increase in corporate travel bookings with a 90% increase for 2013, compared to 2011.

Air Mauritius welcomed 1,500 corporate travellers between April 2010 and March 2011. It expects this to increase by 38% to 2,100 by March 2012, then to 4,000 by April 2013.

"We have small groups to average and even a large group of 2,000 people already confirmed with us in June 2012 where we have provided aircrafts on exclusivity to these groups. We have had the biggest Incentive group on the island with 2,500 pax split in four waves back to back," he added.

Air Mauritius puts on six direct flights from Heathrow to Mauritius a week and 12 daily from Paris Charles de Gaulle. It has a code-share agreement with Air France connecting most of Europe via Paris.
