Recent venues to join the campaign include Conference Centres of Excellence, Newcastle United Football Club and Close House Hotel and Golf.

Michael Foreman, ABPCO’s chairman, said: "The Conference Cloud campaign has highlighted a key issue for PCOs and event organisers.

"We know that many conference venues have been reluctant to offer wi-fi free of charge, but it is fast becoming a fundamental requirement of everyday life for business.

"We are delighted that so many venues have already shown their support and look forward to our forthcoming roundtable debate with venues to discuss the details of what is needed to make this a reality."

Details of the roundtable debate, which will be held at Twickenham Experience, will be released in the next few weeks.
