Centara appoints general manager for Bali resorts

Centara Hotels & Resorts has appointed Ian McDonald Cameron as general manager of Centara Wuku Resort & Spa Bali and Centra Taum Seminyak Bali.

Cameron trained at Scotland’s Gleneagles Hotel before moving to Asia, where he worked in Hong Kong and then in Indonesia.

Prior to joining Centara Wuku Resort & Spa Bali and Centra Taum Seminyak Bali, Cameron was general manager of Centara Grand Beach Resort & Spa Boracay, Philippines, and at Centara Villas Samui, Thailand, before that.

Other previous roles include food and beverage manager at the Hilton Egypt before going to South Korea and then to Bangkok. He was also leaseholder and general manager of the Falcon Hotel, a traditional coaching inn hotel in Uppingham, England.

Centra Taum Seminyak Bali will open on 1 December 2011. The resort will be located at Seminyak, on the west coast of the island, within five minutes’ walk from the beach.

The hotel will have 90 rooms, a restaurant, bar, fitness centre, body and foot massage rooms and a swimming pool.

Centara Wuku Resort & Spa Bali will be opened by the end of 2012.
