At the AECC she becomes part of the venue's professional conference organisation team and will also manage the International Congress and Convention Association UK and Ireland Chapter (ICCA) secretariat role.

Sweden-born Bergstrom comes to Aberdeen's AECC from Geneva, where she worked for clinical research organisation Outcome Europe Switzerland. Prior to that she held posts working at Hyatt Hotels in the San Francisco area.

Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s managing director, said: "With the appointment of Jacqueline to the PCO department we now have a very strong team in place which will enhance the service we offer to our PCO clients, we are already seeing the benefits of having Jacqueline on board."
