Canada targets agency planners on UK bus tour

The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) today kicked off its 'Canada rocks, how do you roll?' road show, targeting UK event planners, which will culminate in a party featuring a Canadian rockstar.

The road show will see the CTC and 14 key partners hit the streets of the UK on tour buses to meet with event planners and share what's new about the destination.

One bus will be heading up north to Manchester to invite representatives from agencies including Universal World Events and Zibrant on board to meet with the CTC and key partners from hotels and local tourist boards, while a second bus will stay in London, visiting agencies including CI Events and CWT.

Some 20 meetings are expected to be held on the buses over the next two days, and the tour will culminate with a party at 24 London on Thursday night, where around 130 buyers will enjoy Canadian hospitality and cuisine, with a guest appearance from a Bryan Adams tribute act.
