How big was the group? We had a total group size of 90, with 68 buyers from agencies including Grass Roots, Zibrant and Venue Find.

What was the format? This year we introduced a ‘Diamond Hunt’ theme, which meant hoteliers moved around the carriages meeting the buyers and talking about their properties. The buyers had to answer questions about the hotels to have a chance to win a diamond, so they networked more and found out about the hotels.

Which hotels were buyers most interested in? Buyers were asking about specific destinations and therefore, properties in key hubs such as Berlin, London and Barcelona. Of course there is also a lot of interest around the ME London.

Will you repeat the event in 2012? Feedback has already been fantastic and so we will be talking to Orient Express about booking for next year.
