MIA invites nominations for most influential C&I professionals

The Meetings Industry Association (MIA) is following up last year's debut MIA List - a list of people who have made a special contribution to the C&I industry - by inviting nominations for a 2012 list.

The MIA is encouraging everyone in the sector to get involved in the nominations process, which will run from 1 to 31 October this year. MIA members and non-members can nominate people via the MIA List webpage.

Nominees can include anyone from all facets of the events industry, including planners, chefs, receptionists, housekeepers, waiters, porters, sales staff, corporates and agents.

Jane Longhurst, MIA's chief exectutive, said: "The MIA List is an opportunity to recognise those people within the meetings and events industry whose approach to their profession is outstanding, giving the industry a new group of heroes to look up to."

The MIA List will be revealed at an event at BMA House in London on 19 March 2012. This year's list recognised 25 individuals.
