
The company ran the WEC's 2011 event in Geneva from 4 to 9 September, managing various aspects of the event including conference room planning and logistics for more than 50 meetings, sponsorship, registration, speakers and badge-printing.
The firm also organised the congress's welcome reception, a concert featuring 120 choristers and musicians, VIP lunches and a gala dinner for 1,000 delegates.
The total 1,800 delegates who attended included engineers, policy-makers and representatives from the research industry.
The six-day programme featured technical sessions, excursions, and roundtable discussions involving members of governments and representatives of bodies including Unesco and the International Energy Agency.
Steeve Girod, the head of Kuoni Destination Management's congress department, said: "[We are] proud to have been chosen as the official PCO of the WEC convention.
"The environment was key in many of the programme topics and we were very pleased to make our own contribution by providing many 'green' products such as badges, lanyards and local food produce."
