Aspect and the IGD's events team have worked together since 2007. The agency will produce The 2011 IGD Convention and the IGD Food Industry Awards, both taking place on 11 October at The Lancaster London, the latter on its Terrace space in the evening.

The Convention is a chance for grocery leaders from across the UK to network and plan future projects. Guest speakers include Philip Clarke, group chief executive of Tesco, and Simon Baldry, GB managing director of Coca-Cola Enterprises.

Entries for the the IGD Food Industry Awards are currently being judged. Categories include the Asda Employability Award, the John Sainsbury Learning & Development Award and the Unilever Community Award.

Aspect are providing project management support, software and entertainment and production.

"Communicating IGD’s key messages, ensuring their longevity and boosting their overall objectives is key for this project, as always," said Aspect chief executive Jo Randle. "We have a fantastic relationship with the events team at IGD and over the years we have seen the annual event develop into the must attend industry affair of the year."
