Centara Hotels & Resorts experienced a 6.3% year-on-year increase in revenue to 4.1bn baht (£84.4m) during its 2010 financial year, while gross operating profit grew by 43m baht to 2.2bn baht.

The company, which has more than 10,000 rooms across hotels and resorts in eight countries, said that average occupancy was 58.1% in 2010, down a marginal 2.4% on the previous year, but higher than the industry average of 50.2%.

Centara part or fully owns 15 of its properties, while 38 are under management contracts and a further 29 are under construction.

The group has properties in Thaliand, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines.
