Meatup show director Graham Yandell said: "Having successfully launched the show at a smaller venue, we feel that moving Meatup to the NEC will provide the opportunity to develop the exhibition and attract more visitors.
"As a world class venue, and a recognisable brand, the NEC also provides a range of facilities which are second to none together with excellent logistics. We also found staff to be helpful and cooperative.
NEC senior account manager Jane Nicholls said: "YPL Exhibitions and the NEC have been working together successfully for a number of years, and it is fantastic to be able to now work on a new launch with them. We are committed to making Matup 2013 a productive and market-leading event in partnership with Graham and his team."
Various sectors from the UK meat industry, worth £24bn attend the show, which this year attacted 2,000 delegates.
