In December, Qatar Petroleum is hosting the 20th WPC in Doha. The six-day event will be attended by 4,500 delegates from across the globe.

WRG has been tasked with organising an opening gala dinner with highlights including the showing of a specially-commissioned film.

The agency is also responsible for creating an ‘Arabian Night’, an event designed to reflect Arabian and Qatari culture that will include theatrical performances and regional cuisine.

The final WRG-organised event will be a closing ceremony that will incorporate a handover to 2014 WPC host nation Russia.

Tim Elliot, WRG Qatar’s general manager, said: "WRG will be bringing together its unrivalled sector expertise to deliver three events at the World Petroleum Congress, which display Arabian culture at its finest for the prestigious delegation.

"WRG is honoured to be working on this brief, which will utilise all core disciplines of the business - from creative design, film, and digital media to intricate and full-scale logistics and technical management - something we are very excited to be a part of."
