Guests at the evening drinks reception included representatives of Unilever, HSBC, the BBC, Linklaters, KPMG and Deloitte and Deutsche Bank.

The venue boasts spaces including the 450-capacity Beveridge and 200-capacity Macmillan halls.

The event included fashion show put on by Jaeger and Oxfam bridal.

Charlie Vernon, who was appointed business development manager of Senate House earlier this year, said: "The showcase event was a chance for us to open the doors of this Grade II-listed building, which is tucked away in the heart of London.

"We are lucky to have such an overwhelming response from PAs and event planners keen to see the spaces on offer and experience the hospitality."
