The 99-room hotel, which opens its doors on 4 September, is located on Via Corsica in the centre of the Italian city and is the group's third hotel in the country. It features a congress room and two meetings rooms with av.
The Astor meetings room is 821sqm and can accommodate 80 delegates theatre-style. The James room is 766sqm and has 54 theatre-style seats.
Other facilities include a restaurant, a lounge bar, a swimming pool, a turkish bath and a gym.
The building, built in 1929, was previously part of luxury hotel chain THI Collection and known as the Bentley Hotel. Under Meliá’s new lease agreement it will become the Meliá Génova.
Meliá has added a total of 11 hotels to its portfolio this year. Plans are also afoot to launch another in the Italian capital, the Gran Meliá Roma.
