Gardner previously worked at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry for around three and a half years as a business development executive.
She was responsible for selling the venue as a conference and banqueting space, and as an exhibition venue.
Gardner has also worked for Heart of England Conference and Events Centre, where she spent two years.
She joins Southwater Event Group as it prepares to unveil a 1,300sqm expansion to the International Centre Telford.
The new Ludlow Suite – set to open this summer – has capacity for up to 1,500 delegates.
Gardner said: "It is a particularly exciting time for the group thanks to its expansion and development plans."
Southwater Event Group has also joined forces with organisations including Telford & Wrekin Council to develop a £250m regeneration plan for the town which will create a new convention quarter with bars, restaurants and a new hotel.
As well as The International Centre, the group is also made up of The Holiday Inn Telford, The International Hotel, Grays Hotel, and events production company Stagecraft UK.
