Rozenberg – who has taken on the role from this month (July) – will continue to work within his own company, Belgian-based Swantegy.

He will be working on the IBTM portfolio which includes AIME (Australia), EIBTM (Spain), CIBTM (China), GIBTM (Middle East) and AIBTM (USA).

Rozenberg will contribute to development of the portfolio and increase awareness of the events.

Reed launched its inaugural US show - AIBTM - in Baltimore in June.

He will also provide input into the professional education programme at each of the events and act as facilitator.

Reed’s group exhibition director Craig Moyes said: "We hope that his international perspective, not least the work he has done in the last year, will give us some interesting new ideas across all levels of our business."

Rozenberg’s company Swantegy helps corporations that use meetings and events in their marketing mix to increase business performance and engage stakeholders.

He has clients and programmes in some 50 countries.

"I am delighted to be joining the team to work across the global portfolio from a strategic perspective," said Rozenberg. "I am looking forward to making a positive contribution to grow this sector within Reed Travel Exhibitions."
