Vickie Southgate joins as an account manager from her previous role as project co-ordinator at Winning Pitch.

Assured Events managing director Karl Perry said: "Vickie is already embedded into the team and adding value to clients’ projects."

The agency has also appointed two event co-ordinators - Jade Hitchins and Sarah Haigh.

The recruits are both event management students from Huddersfield University taking part in a one-year placement programme.

Perry adds: "Hopefully we can build an on-going relationship with the university as a means of identifying and nurturing future, permanent employees, on a rolling basis. There’s no denying that times are still tough for many companies but we are finding that business here continues to grow."
