ICC London Excel's delegate expenditure has contributed more than half a billion pounds to London's economy in its first year of operation.

Cisco Live in February and EULAR in May are among the more than 50 events held at the international conference centre at Excel London since it opened last June.

The venue has a further 42 future congress events confirmed, including Cisco Live in January-February 2012, and the Offshore Wind conference and exhibition in June 2012.

Excel London chief executive Kevin Murphy said: "Our ambition is to transform the capital’s eastside into a top events destination. Aside from the Olympics legacy, London’s Eastside is a hot bed of investment and regeneration with initiatives like the Siemens Pavilion and London Tech City East turning the city into a leading technology and creative capital."
