O2 sponsorship and events manager leaves team

O2's sponsorship and events manager Nick Becker has left the team this month after almost five years with the organisation.

Becker was sponsorship and events manager at O2 UK since October 2009 and was responsible for O2's football sponsorship strategy and managing experiential delivery across sport and music until he left on 3 June.

Prior to that, he was a senior event manager at O2 since November 2006.

O2 has not yet announced a replacement and representative Andrew Cocks said: "Nick Becker left O2 this month and we wish him well in the future."

The telecommunications company appointed Sledge and Ice London in December for its 2011 conference and experiential events programme following a year-long pitch process.

Meanwhile, Sledge expanded its O2 account team as a result of the appointment.
