Menzies Welcombe Hotel completes first stage of refurbishment

Menzies Welcombe Hotel has completed the first stage of its refurbishment plan, which is expected to be complete by mid-2013.

The hotel has renovated 34 rooms in its Garden Wing, located between the ground and first floor at a cost of £500,000.

Each room features an Apple Mac computer, a flat screen television and a power shower. Improvements have also been made to the 18-hole golf course.

Menzies Welcombe Hotel general manager Greg Fehler said: "The rooms in the Garden Wing are tastefully redecorated with additional facilities to meet the needs of both residential and business guests. We look forward to getting the second phase of the programme underway."

Areas including the bar, restaurant, function rooms will be upgraded by mid-2013.

The hotel features 11 function rooms, seating up to 600 delegates.
