Aspect’s 2010/2011 turnover, for the year ending last month (April), was at £5.6m, up from £2.6m on 2009/2010, when the company was affected by the recession.

Owners Simon King-Cline and Ben Hillson have since appointed 11 staff, making 28 in all, as well as a portfolio of freelancers.

The results reflect an increase in Aspect’s activity in shareholder engagement and AGMs, with customer and partner events seeing the largest share.

Aspect director of production Jo Randle said: "There is so much activity within Aspect at the moment it’s quite unbelievable. Whether it is a mining conference in New Guinea or a sales kick-off in Southampton. Every part of the agency has contributed to this impressive year-end result. The Aspect team deserves credit for working hard, staying positive and always providing excellent advice and client service."

She added that Aspect’s contract wins in 2010 have seen been in areas including energy, travel and retail whilst existing customers, including Lloyds, have expanded their events.

In March, C&IT revealed that Lloyds had appointed Aspect to produce its inaugural leadership convention for 5,000 employees at Birmingham’s LG Arena.
