Bella Sky Comwell hotel opens in Copenhagen

The 814-room Bella Sky Comwell has opened at Copenhagen's Bella Center.

The 23-storey hotel has 814 rooms, the Sky Bar and one floor exclusively for women.

Bella Center chief executive Arne Bang Mikkelsen said: "We are extremely proud to be able to welcome guests to the biggest hotel in the Nordic region – a hotel that not only is in a unique category in terms of architecture and interior design, but also will contribute to attracting even more major international congresses to Copenhagen.’’

The hotel was officially opened with Denmark’s Minister for Economic and Business Affairs Brian Mikkelsen and Copenhagen’s Lord Mayor Frank Jensen heading the proceedings.

Lord Mayor Frank Jensen said: "Bella Sky typifies the focused efforts of Denmark and Copenhagen to bring the world to Copenhagen – more congresses, more tourists, more people who are attracted to work or study here. Bella Sky helps Copenhagen in the crucial work of furthering the city’s economic growth."

30 meeting rooms with a total area of 1,250sqm include:

Ballroom for 260 people in banquet layout
Three conference rooms for 60-80
22 small and flexible meeting rooms from 2 to 48 delegates
Exhibition space
Break out lounges
Direct access to Bella Center
Option of using both Bella Sky Comwell Hotel and Bella Center for the same event
