Shah has more than 15 years experience in the hospitality industry, in roles including director of sales and marketing at The Westin Pune Koregaon Park.
Shah said: "I will be working towards building market share and effectively managing the sales and marketing plans while implementing it in adherence to the IHG brand vision. We are at an exciting phase and I am definitely looking forward to improving organisational effectiveness and will continue to devise marketing activities that will accelerate business growth."
Shah will report to Garth Solly, who was recently appointed as the general manager of the hotel, which has 166 staff.
Prior to this appointment, Solly was manager of the five-star Intercontinental Hotel in Wellington, New Zealand.
Solly said: "Over the past couple of months, we have been in the process of gathering a team of globally qualified people who can bring in a combination of local knowledge at the same time maintaining the consistency of the international brand."
