Keogh takes over from Fiona Chappell, who left after more than nine years at Reed to join Melbourne Convention and Visitors Bureau as its director of business development for the UK and Europe.

She will oversee the team of account managers and co-ordinate global sales strategies for Reed’s shows - AIME, AIBTM, CIBTM, EIBTM and GIBTM.

Keogh joins from NH Hotels, where she was director of sales responsible for managing a team overseeing the corporate and MICE segments.

Prior to this she was with Hesperia Hotels, and The Sunway Travel Group, working within the corporate incentive travel division of the company.

IBTM group exhibitions director Craig Moyes said: "We are delighted that Danielle Keogh has decided to join us. Her considerable experience and knowledge of the meetings, events and incentives business will add valuable resource to our teams and I have no doubt that her strong sales and marketing background will enhance our client management structure."

Keogh will begin her role in time for the Imex exhibition in Frankfurt this month and she said: "It is an exciting time to commence this role, with four established exhibitions and AIBTM launching in the US next month."
