Indesit incentive is major coup for Definitive Events

Definitive Events has been appointed by Indesit Company to run an incentive to Rome in its first win after being added to the white goods manufacturer's preferred supplier list in December.

The agency has been awarded the work following a competitive pitch and will organise the three-night trip for around 30 delegates.

Retail kitchen designers and their partners will attend the incentive from 17 June following a qualifying period that ran from November to March. They will be joined by staff from Hotpoint, one of Indesit Company's brands.

Although Indesit Company's events manager, Jayson Weston, had originally briefed the agency to include Rome and Florence in the trip, Definitive Events pitched the incentive based purely around Rome.

Weston said: "They took a risk but it turned out to be the best."

The trip will include a factory tour, exploration of the Apennine region in Fiat 500 cars and a visit to a vineyard in Frascati.

Definitive Events managing director Lisa Pennington said: "It was great to win the first pitch we went for on the roster."
