The four-star 29-room property was placed into administration last year. However, Legacy Hotels and Resorts chief executive Andy Townsend said it would be "business as usual" for upcoming corporate event bookings.

Ongoing operation

Townsend and finance director Jim Gordon have also been appointed as directors of Great Hallingbury Events as part of the venue’s ongoing operation.

Townsend said he plans to recover the venue’s position as a corporate event destination while working with Christie & Co to sell it.

"We have been appointed to continue the Great Hallingbury Manor’s recovery after a challenging couple of years," he said. "There is no doubt this is a good business and we want to build it up again.
