The agency has doubled its forecast turnover for 2011 as a result of the life science sectors boom.

The event management company announced record levels of client activity for 2011 from public and private sector clients after the UK government earmarked funding for the sector, which deals with the study of living organisms.

Applied Eventology has already been hired for more than 30 events this year, reaching over 1,300 delegates.

Bookings have come from organisations including Lloyds Pharmacy, UKTI, Serious Games Institute and Building Research Establishment and Advantage West Midlands.

The events range in size from small-scale forums featuring life science industry experts through to national and international life sciences exhibitions.

Applied Eventology’s 2011 event manager Lucy Watkins said: "Our clients are briefing us to handle technically demanding events, working in subject areas which include augmented reality, smart home technologies, designing healthcare environments, medical device product forums, impact of GP consortia and healthcare mobile apps."
