The agency, which became part of Universal World Events in March, reported a pre-tax profit of £2.1m for the year ending September 2010, compared to a loss of £168,600 for the previous year.

The agency’s UK division reported a profit of £600,000 for the period compared to a loss of nearly £1.75m for the previous year.

"The level of profitability is a reflection of continuing business development success and new business wins," said Graham McIntosh, former Universal Procon managing director of and current managing director of Universal World Events. "It is also a measure of the fact we have got the business operating smoothly since our acquisition of Universal in 2008 and its subsequent merger with Procon."
