Following this long and successful relationship, both parties have agreed to pursue other opportunities to better serve the business-to-business events industry.
Haymarket awards director Helen Horton said: "It has been a pleasure to work with Eventia. The decision to end our partnership was not taken lightly, but it allows C&IT, as the leading title covering B2B events, the opportunity to explore new ideas and to create an exciting opportunity to celebrate excellence in its sector."
Brand Media publishing director Rachael Stilwell added: " Haymarket’s partnership with Eventia has been an exciting journey and both parties have benefited massively. However we now feel it is time to take a more international view for the development of all our brand partnerships."
The decision means that Haymarket publications Event and C&IT will no longer be the headline media sponsors of the Eventia Awards, which the trade association still plans to run in November this year.
Both magazine brands will continue to support Eventia and its member companies.
Discussions with C&IT’s readership, with a view to launching a stand-alone event that will celebrate best practice in the conferencing and incentive market are ongoing. Further announcements will be made in due course.
