Universal World Events expands with office in Italy

Universal World Events has established an office in Rome, with Gloria Spotti heading up the team as general manager.

Spotti has 25 years events industry experience, including as EMEA director at Carlson Wagonlit Travel and vice president of client services at BCD Meetings and Incentives.

Also in the Italian team are account manager Petronilla Cesarei and account executive Francesca Molisso.

Cesarai has 20 years experience in event management at Triumph Group International as director of communications and global bids.

Meanwhile, Molisso was previously senior team leader at Carlson Wagonlit Italia.

The team is working on confirmed events for 2011 and Spotti said she was "thrilled to be running the Italian office"

"I am looking forward to the challenge of winning new business and providing a local market service to existing clients," she added.

Universal World Events director for Europe Andrew Winterburn sai: "We are extremely pleased to be furthering our European strategy by establishing an office in Italy and are delighted that it has taken off so well. The office in Italy further cements our commitment to the key nations in Europe and other global markets."

World Events has offices in UK, Netherlands, Germany, France and now Italy as well as the US, Hong Kong and Singapore.
