Destination Guide: Ireland

Google brings Irish conference venues to Street View

Business visitors to Ireland can experience what some of the country's conference venues have to offer by clicking on Google Street View on Google Maps.

Conference venues such as the Aviva Stadium and Croke Park in Dublin can be viewed along with tourist destinations popular with incentive and concentive markets such as the Powerscourt Estate, Dublin Castle and Muckross House by the Lakes of Killarney.

Google’s Street View Trike, which collects images from destinations where it is not possible for the Street View car to drive, started collecting the street level imagery of some of Ireland’s top tourist destinations and historic monuments last September.

Shaun Quinn CEO of Fáilte Ireland, the national tourism development authority for the Republic of Ireland, said," Fáilte Ireland is very excited to be working with Google Street View and about the great potential it provides for showcasing all that we have to offer to a worldwide audience."
