Day will work alongside Albert managing director John Saunders and strategy director Ian Christie.
Saunders told C&IT that Day's reputation gained from working with some of the best event agencies made him the ideal candidate.
"Day's got a fantastic track record and is respected in the business. We are focusing on events and more multi-channel work, so he is ideal for this. We are still on the lookout for staff, but we want to keep Albert small, as it is important the clients deal with the experts," he added.
Day was global business development director at Iris. He has also worked for experiential agency RPM and Works London.
