After taking over the property in mid 2010, Richmond has overseen a £250,000 refurbishment of its banqueting rooms, and is now responsible for managing the venue hire, marketing and catering operations.

Richmond Creative Event Catering chief executive Barry Seaman said: "By adding to our collection of venues we are demonstrating our extensive experience in not only creative event catering but also in promoting and coordinating venue bookings. This is a unique opportunity and we look forward to delivering fantastic events in a beautiful location."

Built in 1911, Blakemore House has six separate rooms each named after different herbs. It accommodates up to 600 guests throughout the venue.

Four of these rooms open out onto the picturesque gardens where there is also space for a marquee for up to 500 guests.
