Expotel hints at further acquisitions

Expotel has forecast a 20% growth in turnover for 2011 following business wins with BP and Santander, and is considering further acquisitions after buying Venues Event Management (VEM) last year.

The company, which also comprises Latemeetings.com, purchased VEM in November. The agency will remain based in Swindon, but with support from an Expotel team located in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

"We are always looking to add to the group," said Expotel chief executive Ian Burnley. "We are looking at the hotel booking agent sector and the conference and event management sector.

"We're expecting a really strong year this year," he added. "We're probably looking for a 20% increase in turnover year-on-year."
